About Us

National Hills Pool was built in 1964, making it one of Augusta’s oldest neighborhood pools. For many years, membership was restricted to residents of National Hills, but we now invite all Augusta area families to join.

1107 Brookwood Drive in National Hills

National Hills Pool has provided enjoyment for thousands of Augusta residents since opening in 1964. One of Augusta’s oldest neighborhood pools, the pool holds 150,000 gallons of water and operates on a sand filter system using chlorine as the sanitizer. National Hills Pool Inc. is a non-profit recreational organization and is governed by an elected Board of Trustees.

Trained and certified lifeguards are on duty during operating hours. There is a concession stand for refreshments or members may bring their own snacks. The pool is open Monday-Thursday from noon until 8:00 p.m. (closes Tuesdays at 4 on home swim meet days), Friday noon until 9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Sunday from 1 until 9 p.m. Extended Friday night hours may be scheduled on selected weeks and members will be notified. Guests are welcome during evening hours and normal fees will apply.

At one time, membership was limited to residents of National Hills. Now, membership is open to all Augusta area families. Dues are $375 for families; $225 for senior citizens plus one person, and $200 for a single person. All members must pay their dues by Opening Day to be able to use the pool for the summer. Members are allowed to bring guests and rent the pool for parties, in accordance with the guidelines in the pool rules. There is no “per day” rate for using the pool.

Members may bring guests at any time, limited to three visits per month for the same visitor. Guest fees for summer house guests may be worked out with the Board of Trustees.

National Hills Pool has a swim team for children ages 5-18. These young people swim and compete in the CSRA Swim League and have won many league championships.
